So since Madi first turned two years old she has picked up everything like a sponge. She has learned her full name and birthday(even though she now says is Madi Angel, not Carrion, because of grandma), her numbers through 20, her ABC's(the song, anyway), and lots more, plus a few things I could have lived without her learning. But as far as the alphabet goes, she's known the song but could only recognize a few of the letters. She knows the easy ones, if anyone knows what I mean by that. I told my sister that once and she had no idea what I meant. She said she didn't know some letters were harder to learn than others. So needless to say we have been working on letter recognition. Before I keep going I must mention that I have a part-time job at ACS(Angelo Catholic School), and I am able to take Madi to work with me sometimes, which by the way, she loves! Besides the fact that she is the smallest one on campus, she blends right in. It is so sad for me because I chose to stay home with her for the past 3 years and then she is going to just leave me for some kids she doesn't even know...no she didn't! I may have to give a small pinch under her arm on her first day of school. So anyway, the little ones are learning the sounds each letter makes, and Madi is really interested but has some catching up to do. She has been trying to learn the letter and the sound it makes at the same time. Bad enough she says she has eyes in her water, well now she is confused on which letter goes with which sound and says "suh...suh...E!" or "puh...puh...C!" So I guess we will wait and see how long it takes her to get it all straightened out. I will keep everyone posted, I know how suspenseful things like this are!
