This night was awesome!! I couldn't have been any more proud of my Madi. The 3k and 4k classes were angels in the reenactment of the birth of our Jesus. The music teacher did a wonderful job of putting the whole thing together and ALL of the kids (because the stars of the program was the entire Angelo Catholic School student body) did just as amazing. Madi was the first angel to walk up on stage, they were the angels that appeared when baby Jesus was born, so they made their debut towards the end of the whole program. So here comes Madi, first in line, leading all of the other kids through the gym filled with parents, grandparents, friends and family, with every ones cameras locked and loaded. I thought for sure she was going to see me (of course we were sitting right up front) and chicken out, cry, and not budge after she spotted us. But to my amazement, she saw her proud parents, smiled and kept on walking. Awe! Out of about 35 little angels I think there was only one who stopped in their tracks halfway to the stage. They sang, danced, and did a really great job, they were the hit of the program. Two thumbs up in my opinion.
It was a sacrifice for me to stay home with Madi after she was born till she entered school and now it is another sacrifice for us to send her to Catholic School. But on nights like that night, it is totally worth it, and mostly because of things like the Christmas season. They so make it a point to emphasize the reason for Christmas, even the little ones as young as Madi's class know that we are celebrating the birth of baby Jesus. It is such a beauty for the kids to be able to talk about Jesus openly and freely in school, with their teachers and fellow classmates. We are blessed to have this opportunity and praise God for all she is learning, both academically and spiritually. Before you know it, she will be teaching her parents a thing or two about our merciful and loving God. Merry Christmas to you all and God Bless us all during this time of excitement and anticipation.
