FIRST SAD FACE

Madi got her first sad face of the year, in school this past week. And she was UPSET! She came home, got a paper from the notepad on the fridge, and proceeded to draw this picture. Allow me to explain....first, she drew a picture of her teacher (Mrs. S), that's who's on the left, with a sad face! She said that because her teacher gave her a sad face, she was going to give her a sad face back. Her teacher has really short hair, in case you can't tell by her picture. Next, she drew herself next to her teacher with a happy face, basically giving herself her happy face back. Then, she drew a circle with a line across it over her teacher's sad face. Finally, she "wrote" above her drawings, "No Mrs S's allowed in the classroom. I love Mrs. S, but only when she gives me happy faces."

And she's only four years old...
